Outpatient Services Department at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center - San Clemente offers accessible services and tests with its "one stop shopping" outpatient services for patients requiring diagnostic. We offer centralized scheduling for "one call" patient and physician scheduling, a private registration office and a dedicated draw station for lab and EKG's within the outpatient area. The modalities included in our outpatient services are laboratory, cardiology, respiratory, radiology, spiral CAT scanner, nuclear medicine, mammography, bone densitometry (DEXA), ultrasound and MRI.

Our newest piece of equipment is the Open MRI, which has a shorter "tube" than most Open MRI's, to make it less claustrophobic for the patient. The Open MRI is able to accommodate patients up to 500 lbs, has a patient stereo system and some of the newest software to allow for faster, higher quality scanning.

Our mammography unit is certified by the state of California Department of Health Services (DHS), the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). All technologists performing your exam are also fully licensed in mammography.

Our CAT scanner, that was purchased a few years ago, has the new spiral capabilities for better image quality and shorter scanning times.

Your pre-operative testing (X-ray, lab and EKG) can all be done in one central location.
