Saddleback Memorial Medical Center - Laguna Hills & San Clemente Volunteers

The caring and generous members of the Volunteer Services Department are a vital part of our patient care team. To join a volunteer group review the requirements, service areas & descriptions, complete the online volunteer application, and meet us at an orientation. Becoming a volunteer is easy and rewarding.

Saddleback Memorial Medical Center Volunteering Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must attend the Volunteer Orientation prior to becoming a volunteer.
  (Please see the Orientation schedule.)
• Two TB tests are required and will be administered, without charge to you, by the SMMC’s Employee Health Nurses.
• Health Clearance Letter from your Doctor.
  (Form will be provided at the orientation.)
• Criminal Background Check is required if you are over 18 years of age.
  (Must have a social security # to be processed).
• Volunteer Uniform is required at the cost of $25.00 & Dues-$6.00 annually.
• Must be able to volunteer a minimum of 100 hours.
  (Shifts are typically 4 hours per week). 
• All volunteer are required to attend additional training and show competence with the assigned essential duties.
