Welcome to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center & Miller Children's Hospital (LBMMC/MCH). We sincerely hope that your residency or fellowship here will be both pleasant and productive.

At LBMMC/MCH, we believe in training and graduating competent, compassionate, high quality, caring physicians while improving the health status of the communities we serve. We are committed to excellence in all our endeavors within medical education.

LBMMC/MCH is a professional teaching hospital accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to sponsor post-MD medical training programs. LBMMC is also accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME), an independent accrediting agency for podiatric medical education.

This web site describes the various residency programs offered at LBMMC/MCH as well as our relationship with other institutions. In addition, we have included the house staff manual for your convenience. It is important for you to read this manual and use it as a resource to answer important questions concerning work hours, due process and other issues you may encounter during your time here at LBMMC/MCH.
