Hybrid Cardiovascular Interventional Suite

Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center is one of the few hospitals in the nation to offer a hybrid cardiovascular interventional suite, combining a state-of-the-art cardiac operating room with a cardiovascular catheterization lab.

Unveiled in 2010, this revolutionary suite is designed for open-heart surgeries such as cardiac bypass, as well as minimally invasive catheter-based procedures such as coronary angioplasty and stenting. By merging these capabilities into one room, surgical procedures that used to require two or more hospital visits can now be performed during a single use of anesthesia, reducing the physical and emotional stress placed on patients and their families.
