Giving & Benefits FAQs

Why does Orange Coast Memorial need donations from the community?

Philanthropy is a vital source of funding for our mission and maintaining our edge of excellence. Income generated by our medical center cannot adequately cover the costs of the care we provide and the substantial investment in advancing our medical technology, research, facilities, service programs and community outreach each year. Contributions provide life-saving medical equipment, improve compassionate patient care, and enhance a wide range of programs.

We are committed to providing the comprehensive services, advanced medical techniques and best practices that our surrounding communities deserve. In fact, all operational revenue is reinvested back into the priority needs of our medical center.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Yes. Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. We are eligible to receive matching gifts from corporations and organizations that support health and educational activities. Our federal tax identification number is #33-0687414.

Will my gift really make a difference?

Regardless the size of the gift, when you contribute to the Orange Coast Memorial Foundation, you help us to provide our communities with high-quality, comprehensive health care services in a compassionate healing environment by:

  • Investing in state-of-the-art medical technology and equipment.
  • Accelerating the adoption of advanced techniques in medical procedures and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Supporting facility upgrades at our medical center's campus.
  • Advancing research.
  • Helping ensure that every member of our community has access to quality health care.
We invite you to check out our current funding priorities or read about past gifts at work.

Yes, you may specify your gift designation when making a gift online by including it in the comment box or by using the printable donation form. Funding priority areas include Emergency Services, our Cancer Institute, our Heart and Vascular Institute, our Maternity Center, our Breast Center, and our Neurosciences program.
