Miller Children's Hospital Pediatric Hypertonicity Management Center

The Pediatric Hypertonicity Management Center provides medical management, multi-disciplinary team services, and case management to children from birth to 21 years who have developed spasticity from injuries to the brain and spinal cord or in abnormal development of the brain. Spasticity not only can cause pain in the affected muscles, but can also interfere with everyday life including activities of daily living.

• Botox® or Myobloc injections
• Phenol motor block injections
• Intrathecal Baclofen® pump or transfers (referral to Orthopedics).
• Case management and coordination
• Serial Castirig
• Orthotic Management and therapy
