The goal of the Women's Heart Health Program is to empower women through education to take control of their heart health behaviors now and lower their future risk of heart disease.
Women's Heart Health Screening
Underwritten by the Community Hospital Long Beach Foundation through grants and donations, the one-hour screening program provides community members with more than $800 worth of health services for just $20.A team of clinicians will conduct a comprehensive risk assessment to help women identify their individual heart disease risk factors and develop an effective strategy to modify their risk.
This 60-minute Women's Heart Health Screening includes:
- Medical history.
- Family history.
- Blood pressure and heart rate body mass index (BMI).
- Lipid panel.
- Total cholesterol.
- HDL or "good" cholesterol.
- LDL or "bad" cholesterol.
- Triglycerides.
- Very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL).
- Cholesterol/HDL ratio.
- Glucose (serum).
- 12-lead electrocardiogram.
