Advanced TechniquesOffering the best staging and therapy
Treating brain and spine tumors requires a sophisticated approach to diagnosis and treatment. Pinpoint accuracy is critical in minimizing damage to surrounding brain and nerve tissues. Through the Neuro-Oncology Program, patients have access to the newest technology and techniques, including:
Stereotactic Biopsy — This minimally invasive radiology-guided biopsy technique is used to obtain tissue samples for the Pathologist to provide diagnostic information that will guide treatment.
CyberKnife Radiosurgery — This highly focused radiation therapy uses advanced robotic and imageguided technology for unprecedented pinpoint accuracy. We offer the only hospital-based Cyberknife in Orange County and the most experienced team.
Intensity-Modulated, Image-Guided RapidArc Radiation — Utilizing Varian's new RapidArc technology, we are able to provide highly precise and complex sculpted radiation therapy allowing for maximum accuracy and improved patient comfort.
CT/MRI — State of the art imaging for tumor diagnosis, evaluation of tumor extent and treatment planning.
Stereotactic Neuronavigation and Guidance — Our neurosurgeons use leading-edge, 3-dimensional guidance systems to localize and remove brain and spine tumors.
Brain Mapping — We utilize the latest mapping techniques to provide a safe trajectory for removal of brain tumors, avoiding damage to important functions such as speech, language and motor control.
