Early Lung Cancer Detection Program
Based on NLST findings, Orange Coast Memorial recently launched an early lung cancer detection program. Providing annual spiral CT lung scans for current and former smokers, the program is designed to evaluate individuals who have no symptoms of the disease, but are at risk for developing lung cancer. This includes people over the age of 50 who have smoked a pack or more of cigarettes per day for at least 30 years, including current or former smokers who have stopped smoking within the past 15 years.
