Services provided
We have two groups of service volunteers at our hospitals. Our Volunteen program is for high school students ages 15 - 18. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight into health care related careers. Teens are accepted into our program three times a year, Spring, Summer and Fall. We ask for a commitment of 2 hours per week with more hours available during the summer and school breaks. All teens are required to wear our Volunteen uniform which are available through the volunteer office. Requirements for becoming a member of the Volunteen program are as follows:

  • Students must complete a Volunteen application packet
  • Students must be in high school and between the ages of 15 - 18
  • Students must have signed parental consent to participate
  • Students must attend a general volunteen orientation
  • Students must provide documentation of immunization history for measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox along with the results of a recent tuberculin skin test
General Adult Volunteers
We encourage adult men and women from our community to join hands with us and make a difference. Whether you are retired or working we have many ways for you to participate and contribute. To begin the process of becoming a part of our Adult Service Volunteer team, you will need to complete an application form. After we have received your completed application, we will make an appointment to meet with you personally to discuss your interests, skills, and availability and once you have been accepted, you'll be asked to provide documentation of your immunization history, including measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox and tetanus along with the results of a tuberculin skin test. Adults must also consent to a security background check. We ask you to commit to a regular volunteer schedule of at least 4 hours per week and placement is based on position openings. You will also be required to attend a four-hour general new volunteer orientation, which will help you to assume your role as a member of our Volunteer team!
