About the Department of Hyperbaric Medicine
Our internationally recognized Department of Hyperbaric Medicine, located in Southern California at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital, was established in 1974. Over the past 30 years, we have provided hyperbaric oxygen treatments to more than 20,000 patients. We provide hyperbaric oxygen treatments to adults and children in Los Angeles County and Orange County on an inpatient or outpatient basis seven-days-a-week. Emergency care is available 24 hours-a-day.
Meet Our Team
A team of highly qualified physicians supports the Department of Hyperbaric Medicine. Additionally, the Department is staffed by registered nurses who specialize in hyperbaric nursing and have critical care experience. These highly trained and experienced nurses assess and monitor the patient continuously during their treatment.
