When there’s an emergency, we’re here for you.
The Emergency Department at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is the largest of its kind in California and among the newest and most advanced in the entire United States. Each year, we treat approximately 80,000 patients.
One of Los Angeles County’s original trauma centers, the Emergency Department (ED) and Trauma Center underwent an $11-million renovation in 2002, expanding the department to 32,000 square feet with 53 beds and creating a dedicated children’s area.
State-Of-The-Art Technology
We offer the latest technological advances in radiology—including CT scanning. We also offer bedside monitoring and registration and enhanced communication systems. Our department ensures patients receive the best emergency and trauma care available.
