The Center for Health Education offers a variety of courses throughout the year in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine, anesthesiology, cardiology and others. Most of these activities are approved for category 1 continuing medical education credit by either Long Beach Memorial Medical Center or the University of California, Irvine and satisfy the physician education requirement. In addition, nurses and pharmacists can claim category 1 credit to satisfy their educational credit requirement.
