Dr. Tateshima is actively involved in development projects of world’s first intracranial stents specifically designed to treat bifurcation aneurysms. He specializes in acute stroke interventions and aneurysm embolization using state-of-the-art, minimally invasive image-guided techniques to treat strokes and aneurysms. He has filed multiple patents on new intracranial stent coating and intracranial stent delivery systems and is currently involved in multiple approval studies of neuro-interventional devices. His research interests have focused on cerebrovascular diseases, biorheology of intracranial aneurysms and new neuro-endovascular device development. Dr. Tateshima is associate professor of radiology at UCLA.
