Ryan K. Wong, MD

Dr. Ryan Wong is the newest member of the breast reconstruction and plastic surgery team for Breastlink Medical Group. Dr. Wong joins Breastlink after completing extensive clinical training around the country. Dr. Wong recently finished his third fellowship at Stanford University where he trained under experts in microvascular reconstruction of the breast. Dr. Wong sees patients at Breastlink of Orange and Breastlink of Temecula Valley.

Dr. Ryan Wong attended Northwestern University for both his undergraduate studies and medical degree and was enrolled in the highly selective combined BA/MD Honors Program in Medical Education. He then completed a full general surgery residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Phoenix followed by plastic surgery residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Dr. Ryan Wong completed fellowship training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego under the guidance of Dr. Steven Cohen, a leader in the field of craniofacial surgery. Dr. Wong stayed at UCSD to complete an additional aesthetic fellowship with leaders in the fields of aesthetic surgery, dermatology and oculoplastic surgery. This gave him the opportunity to further develop and refine his surgical and non-surgical techniques for rejuvenation of the face and body. While at UCSD, Dr. Wong was an active member of the teaching faculty for the plastic surgery residents and was honored with the “Teacher of the Year” award by the plastic surgery trainees.

To further advance his surgical skills Dr. Ryan Wong then completed a microvascular fellowship at Stanford University concentrating on the latest techniques in breast reconstruction, including cutting-edge “perforator” flaps (DIEP, TUG, SGAP).

Dr. Ryan Wong has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at both regional and national meetings. A Southern California native, Dr. Wong was born and raised in Seal Beach, CA.
