David W. Buckley, MD

Dr. Buckley graduated summa cum laude from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and was elected into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.

After an internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital, Dr. Buckley completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and he served as Chief Resident in Radiology. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Body Imaging at UCSF. In 1990, Dr. Buckley joined Radiology Medical Group.

He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and has special expertise in all cross-sectional body imaging modalities (ultrasound, computed tomography, and MRI). In addition, he is accomplished in percutaneous interventional procedures including ultrasound and CT-guided needle biopsy, stereotaxic breast biopsy, radiofrequency tumor ablation and imaging-guided drainage procedures.

He also has expertise in ultrasound evaluation of venous insufficiency and ultrasound guidance for sclerotherapy of varicose veins. Dr. Buckley is Chief of Radiology at Scripps Mercy Hospital.
