Brandy Hattendorf, MD, a board-certified physician in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology, is the Medical Director of Non-invasive Pediatric Cardiology at Miller Childrens Hospital Long Beach. As the medical director, Dr. Hattendorf will focus on pediatric cardiac diagnostics including echocardiograms and post-operative care.
Dr. Hattendorf received her medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine. She then completed her pediatrics residency at University of Nevada School of Medicine and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children/Indiana University School of Medicine. During her cardiology fellowship, Dr. Hattendorf established a specialty focus in non-invasive imaging including transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography.
Prior to joining the Miller Childrens team, Dr. Hattendorf has served as an attending physician at Seattle Children's Hospital, an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a staff cardiologist for Seattle Children's Prenatal Diagnosis and Treatment Center. She also is the former Director of the Regional Cardiology Inpatient Consultation Services for Seattle Childrens Heart Center and the Director of Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography for the Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center. Dr. Hattendorf is a current fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), American College of Cardiology (FACC) and American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). She holds national committee positions with the American Society of Echocardiography and the American College of Cardiology, where she serves as a member of the work taskforce that contributes to the future developments of quality metrics in pediatric cardiology.
