MemorialCare Opens Three Retail Health Clinics in Orange County, Setting New Trend in Orange County for Convenient, Affordable Health Care for Common Conditions and Basic Health Needs

Orange County, CA (August 24, 2010) -- MemorialCare Health System recently opened three new retail health clinics at ALBERTSONS/Sav-On Pharmacy stores in Huntington Beach, Irvine and Mission Viejo. The new retail clinics, called MemorialCare HealthExpress, are open seven days a week and offer convenient, affordable care for consumers who need treatment for common medical conditions, immunizations and other basic health care needs.

MemorialCare HealthExpress clinics are staffed by highly trained nurse practitioners with close oversight by physicians. The clinics offer treatment for adults and children over the age of two for common illnesses like colds, flu, sore throats, earaches, sinus infection, skin conditions and minor wounds. Other services include vaccinations and annual flu shots which are available now.

"These clinics expand the options available to patients and also link consumers to primary care physicians by helping them locate a physician if they don’t already have one.”

The clinics feature a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system which enhances patient safety, keeps health information secure and allows medical information to be accessed by the patient’s physician.

The MemorialCare HealthExpress clinics are all located in ALBERTSONS/Sav-On Pharmacy stores. The Huntington Beach clinic is located at 7201Yorktown Ave. The Mission Viejo location is at 25872 Muirlands Blvd., and the Irvine clinic is located at 14201 Jeffrey Road. Clinics are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 9 pm; Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Appointments are not required, and wait time for care is minimal. The clinics accept payment by cash, check and credit cards as well as most insurance plans.
