MEMORIALCARE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH ALBERTSONS/SAV-ON PHARMACY TO OPEN THREE NEW RETAIL HEALTH CLINICS IN ORANGE COUNTY

Orange County, CA (June 14, 2010) -- MemorialCare Health System announced it will be unveiling three new retail health clinics at ALBERTSONS/Sav-On Pharmacy stores in Huntington Beach, Irvine and Mission Viejo in July, 2010. The new retail clinics will offer convenient, affordable care for consumers who need treatment for minor illnesses, immunizations and other basic health care needs.

The “MemorialCare HealthExpress” clinics will provide care for adults and children beginning at age two. Highly trained nurse practitioners with advanced degrees, under the clinical direction of MemorialCare Health System and its affiliated physicians, will offer treatment for common illnesses, skin conditions and minor wounds, vaccinations as well as routine lab procedures and school physicals.

“Our new health clinics are designed to extend MemorialCare’s continuum of care and give us the opportunity to make heath care easier for busy individuals and families,” said Barry Arbuckle, PhD, president and chief executive officer, MemorialCare Health System. “Together, our local MemorialCare HealthExpress clinics, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and nationally recognized hospitals care for all conditions.

The clinics will feature state-of-the-art electronic medical record system which will enhance patient safety by keeping health information secure, and allowing medical information to be shared with physicians and other clinicians.

MemorialCare HealthExpress will be open Monday through Friday 9 am to 9 pm; Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Appointments are not required, and wait time for care will be minimal. The clinics will accept payment by cash, check and credit cards as well as most insurance plans.

The MemorialCare HealthExpress Huntington Beach location is in the Albertson’s store at 7201 on Yorktown Ave. in Seacliff Village. The Mission Viejo location is in the Albertsons on 25872 Muirlands Blvd. right off the I-5 freeway, and the Irvine store is located at 14201 Jeffrey Road.
