New MemorialCare Medical Group Physician Office and Urgent Care Center to Open in Los Altos

MemorialCare Medical Group, an affiliate of MemorialCare Health System, will be opening a new physician office that will include primary care, select specialty care and an urgent care center on January 9, 2013, making it one of the newest health care destinations in the Long Beach area.

Located at the corner of N. Bellflower Boulevard and Stearns Street in the Los Altos MarketCenter, the two-story, 30,000 square-foot-building will serve as a “one-stop-shop” for the families in the Los Altos area. The new medical office will offer primary care services including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and select specialties. Lab and digital x-ray services also will be available on-site for patient convenience.

“We are looking forward to opening this new office to better serve the families in Long Beach,” says David Kim, M.D., facility medical director, MemorialCare Medical Group. “Initially, the office will house seven primary care physicians, a rheumatologist and a cardiologist. We anticipate the number of physicians growing to 20 in the near future, providing easy access to care.”

The Urgent Care Center, one of only a few urgent care centers in Long Beach will be open 365 days a year, including holidays and weekends.
