Dr. Patel obtained his Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine in 1992, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society, a distinction reserved for the top 10% of graduates. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in 1997 and obtained additional fellowship training at the St. Louis University Hospital in Surgical Critical Care. He is Board Certified in the specialty of Surgery and holds added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care through the American Board of Surgery. He is a practicing Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.
Dr. Patel maintains a clinical practice specializing in General and Laparoscopic Surgery at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, and is Director of Surgical Services at the San Clemente Campus. |
