Ajmel A. Puthawala, M.D., F.A.C.R. is Director of Clinical Hyperthermia and Associate Director of the Radiation Oncology Center at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He is on staff as a Radiation Oncologist with Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and additionally is Attending Radiation Oncologist at Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles.
Educated in India and the United States, Dr. Puthawala is Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of Radiological Science (Division of Radiation Oncology), University of California at Irvine, School of Medicine. He is a Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of Radiology, Radiation Medicine Unit, at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He is a principal investigator with the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, member of the American Brachytherapy Society (formerly American Endocurietherapy Society) , Editor of Journal of Brachytherapy International (formerly Endocurietherapy/Hyperthermia Oncology: An International Journal).
With over 40 scientific publications to his credit, Dr. Puthawala also lectures on brachytherapy and hyperthermia. |
