Jerry Z. Finklestein, MD

Dr. Jerry Z. Finklestein was educated at McGill University in Montreal Canada. He completed his Pediatric training at the Montreal Children's Hospital and his Hematology-Oncology training at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA). After spending an additional two years on the faculty at CHLA and USC in 1970, he relocated to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center program.
In 1976, he created the Hematology-Oncology service at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach. Dr. Finklestein is the founding Medical Director of the Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center. He headed the program for over 17 years. In 2008, he was asked to reassume Medical Directorship on an interim basis. |
