We stand for you! A blend of the most advanced technologies, leading physicians and breakthrough therapies, the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at the new Todd Cancer Pavilion has got it all. With us, you’ll have individualized treatment, the latest research protocols, and the most caring team around you.
But just as important, we’ll help you by providing a sense of wellness at every stage of your journey, making your physical and emotional well-being a reality. Because when you walk through our doors, you have become a part of our extended family.
The doors of the 64,000-square-foot pavilion will officially be open later in July – bringing outpatient cancer care to you under one roof – in the newest cancer pavilion in the region. South Bay residents should feel confident that they will get pampered in their home away from home, just 12 miles away from the heart of the South Bay.
Get a Sneak Peek Inside – 2nd Floor
Patients will enter the Todd Cancer Pavilion through an inviting, two-story open and spacious lobby, complete with candle-shaped chandeliers that suspend from the ceiling all the way to the lower staircase landing. Traveling upstairs to the second floor you will find the MemorialCare Breast Center and the Women’s Specialty Center – dedicating an entire floor to women’s cancer care for breast and gynecologic cancer patients. The second floor also houses the Cancer Risk & Prevention Program where patients at-risk for cancer due to a family history of cancer, are assessed for risk factors, and are then provided counseling regarding their actual risk profile. A warm, welcoming Community Resource Center also is available on the second floor for patients and families to get much needed information and support. Our leading Research Program also can be found here, where the latest research protocols, and access to hundreds of clinical trials, will be at your fingertips.
Get a Sneak Peek Inside – 3rd Floor
As you continue to the third floor of the Todd Cancer Pavilion, you will find the Cancer Specialty Center complete with comprehensive, multi-disciplinary cancer programs for lung, colorectal, urinary, pancreatic and liver cancers. Large consultation rooms are available for doctor-patient conversations and all exam rooms are completed with the latest technology, while keeping the patient’s comfort in mind with windows or skylights in each room.
The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) is among the most family centered, as well as newest infusion center in the area. The AIC is a leader in its class with 36 infusion bays that have retractable doors – allowing patients to be social and chat with their neighbor during infusion therapy, or providing privacy by closing a sliding door for a more private feel. Each infusion room has a window, a skylight view or a garden view. The roof-top garden allows our patients and their families to enjoy the fresh air and find a peaceful place to relax and unwind.
The final hub of the Todd Cancer Pavilion, which some say could be one of the most important, is the Integrated Cancer Medicine Program – a place where we empower patients to achieve the best quality of life by promoting wellness in mind, body and spirit. Complimentary therapies, such as massage, yoga and Tai Chi happen in our wellness studio; and a rehab gym helps fatigued chemo patients work with physical therapists to get their strength back. Nurse navigators, a mind-body oncology coach, and a financial counselor are all here to support you on your cancer journey. Future plans include a cooking island to demonstrate healthy eating recipes, acupuncture and psychosocial and survivorship research.
