Patients & Families

Visiting Hours & Information
We encourage parents, families and special friends to visit as often as possible. For the safety and security of our patients, families and staff, we ask that you help us by following these visiting policies.

General Policy
  • A maximum of two visitors may visit at a time.
  • Parents and visitors must wear a visitor’s badge at all times.
  • If you are a parent, you will get a long-term visitor badge at admission.
  • If you are a visitor, you will sign in daily at the Information Desk.
  • An adult must accompany visiting children under the age of 14 years.
  • Patient information is provided to legal guardians only.
  • For the safety of our patients, latex balloons are not allowed.
Visting Hours & Policies By Unit

  • General visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Fathers/Significant Other may visit until 10 p.m.
  • All Perinatal visitors must also check in at the 2nd Floor secretary desk. The secretary or designee will facilitate entrance into the appropriate patient care hallway. These doors have secured access and are to remain closed at all times.

  • Visiting in the BirthCare Center may occur any time of the day.
  • Limited to three visitors including the father/designated significant other/adoptive/legal and/or biological parent, each of whom must wear a room pass in the room at all times.
Phone: (562) 933-8100Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Parents are encouraged to stay with their child as much as they can.
  • Visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • A parent must accompany any visitor, with a limit of 2 people at any bedside.
  • Visitors must scrub their hands with a brush and soap at the sinks outside of the baby’s room for 3 minutes before visiting. All rings, watches and bracelets must be taken off before scrubbing and kept off until leaving the room.
  • A gown is required when holding a baby.
