Volunteer
Why Should I Volunteer?
There are many rewarding reasons to become a volunteer at Anaheim Memorial Medical Center. As a volunteer, you can make all the difference in the world to someone in need with just a warm smile or an encouraging word.
- Many volunteers choose to stay actively involved by contributing their talents to making their community a better place
- Balance your life, get out more and meet new people
- As you learn and grow by volunteering, you will gain real skills that enhance your professional and educational goals, as well as making the world better for others
- Studies show that health is often improved by participating in a meaningful and rewarding cause
Volunteer Benefits
- Meal tickets (provided for volunteers with 4 hours of service each week)
- Discount and special offers for Guild members
- Invitations to special events
Volunteer Recognition
Anaheim Memorial believes that volunteers need to be recognized, and we do so many ways, including:
- National Volunteer Appreciation Week (every April)
- Volunteer of the Quarter for Guild members
- Recognition awards for hours/years of service
- Volunteer recognition in the hospital's employee newsletter
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone 15 years or older is eligible to volunteer. The commitment to volunteering varies from person to person, we offer flexible schedules. Although placement is based on hospital need, you choose the days, hours and area that most interests you, and we'll make every effort to accommodate your needs. Working men and women can volunteer as little as one shift per month.
Volunteers also have the opportunity to join the hospital Guild and Guardian Angels programs. Guild members participate in many fund-raising activities and donate numerous hours of service. Guardian Angels help support the Guild's fund-raising efforts through annual fund-raising luncheons and membership dues.
